Sushi Central: Amazing Sushi In Abu Dhabi

This post is long overdue.

I went to Sushi Central's Al Khalidiya location to check out their 2 for 1 Saturday special. On Saturday's, all of their delicious dishes are buy one get one free.

I quenched my thirst with a refreshing lemon ginger drink.

As an appetizer I went for two of my favorites, Edamame (soy beans) this time covered in chili sauce and shrimp tempura.

For our main meal, we wanted to have a an assortment of flavors, so the waitress recommended the Takayama box.

This wonderful sushi smorgasbord, called the Takayama (ni) is comprised of various fresh sushis and rolls.

As usual the service was impeccable with our food arriving very quickly.

My only regret is that they do not have a branch in Al Ain.

If you are in Abu Dhabi please check out one of Sushi Central's two locations, you will not regret it.

    1. Follow Reggaebeachfest on Facebook, they usually post the reggae parties. If you will be here on a Friday I HIGHLY recommend brunch at Saffron at the Atlantis, it is a bit pricey but worth every penny. As for things to see: burj Khalifa, Dubai mall fountains, go in a safari if you can. Global village, miracle gardens will be open by them. Walk on the marina. Go to the gold souq. As for places to eat, everywhere is delicious! Good luck!

  4. Your blog is right on time, Miss Haneefa!

I'm currently enrolled in a speech course, and have been assigned a project to research a university abroad and prepare a presentation partly about the culture (political, social, economic) surrounding the university. My group and I selected Abu Dhabi University and would appreciate any insight you could provide about the UAE (and the university, if you can).

We have received questions about the legality of women driving, appropriate public attire for women, and observance of Muslim holidays.
It is our hope to dispel stereotypes about the people and culture of this region as well as inform our audience about the university.

Thanks so much for your help!

  6. Hi there! I thought you would get a kick out of this as I am addicted to your blog and moving to the uae. Many times when I am in the parking lot waiting to get my son from school, I use my phone and check for blog updates from you... Usually saying " black girl in Abu Dhabi". Well yesterday my daughter was playing house with her dolls in her toy stroller and she whipped out her pink toy phone and said, " OK Google I need " black girl in Abu Dhabi" and proceeded to look for homes and talk about her resume! Lol. You are having great affects on everyone even my six year old. We loooooove your blog! Is your social life picking up as you hoped?

  11. You have an adorable blog. It reminds me of a very good japanese family-friendly restaurant that me and my whole family visited this week. It's called Shokuji Sushi Restaurant. Like the one you visited, they had the best tasting sushi, ramen and takoyaki.
